The Office of the Philadelphia Sheriff conducts several Sheriff Sales each month at which properties with court-ordered foreclosures are sold in an auction.
The process of buying a property at one of these sales can seem complicated, but Sheriff Jewell Williams is committed to making sure the process is open, transparent, and easy to navigate.
Below are several resources available that can help you further understand how to buy a property at Sheriff's Sale.
Click the link above to read a brief overview of how the Sheriff Sale process works. Here you will learn about the different types of sales that the Sheriff conducts, how you can find out which properties are being sold, and what you need to do if you want to purchase a property at one of the auctions.
Each month, the Office of the Sheriff conducts live workshops where you can learn how to buy a property at a Sheriff Sale. You will have an opportunity to get your questions answered about how the process works by an official Deputy Sheriff. The classes are free and offered in either English or Spanish language. You can RSVP for an upcoming seminar by clicking the link above.
If you cannot attend one of our monthly sessions discussed above, you can now watch a seminar on your computer. This online video provides the same information covered at our monthly seminar, but can be watched in the comfort of your home or office.
