Philadelphia, PA – In recognition of the National Faith & Blue mission to facilitate safer and stronger communities, the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office and the Philadelphia Police 12th & 18th Districts are partnering to present a “Community Resource Day & Stop the Gun Violence Rally” on Saturday, October 7, 2023, that is free and open to the public.
“The National Faith & Blue Weekend is in keeping with our mission as law enforcement officers to reduce gun violence in our communities. In forming partnerships with our faith-based institutions, we create mutual respect and understanding in our neighborhoods.” – Sheriff Rochelle Bilal
Date: Saturday, October 7, 2023
Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location 1: (10:00 AM – 11:30 AM): (Peace Walk), Catalyst Church, 5541 Baltimore Avenue Resource
Location 2: (11:30 AM – 4:00 PM): Resource / Community Day and National Faith & Blue Basketball (start time 1:00 PM),
Christy Recreation Center, 728 S. 55th Street
In addition, free haircuts will be provided by the Junior Barber Academy along with messages from city officials, performances from community organizations, and other guests.

As the pandemic continues, the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office wants to ensure that Philadelphia residents can remain in their homes, which is why the Sheriff’s Office supports any programs that help residents.
